Cloud Engineer – Windows, Linux Platform Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Madagascar.

• Transform standard operating procedures into automated routines.

• Enhance the daily operational efficiency of systems and cloud management.

• Develop automation tools across a diverse array of products and technologies.

• Supply automation runbooks to the cloud engineering team.

• Oversee core systems and advanced Windows servers at scale.

• Provide support for SaaS application platforms.

• Engage in an on-call pager rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years managing Microsoft and Linux platforms at scale within a SaaS deployment with 100+ servers.

• At least 4 years of production experience with tier-1 public cloud services, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• A minimum of 4 years of production networking experience at scale.

• 4+ years of experience in production automation using configuration-management tools in Windows and Linux environments.

• 4+ years of practical experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Terraform, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for at least 4 years.

• 2 years of production experience with container scheduling engines, such as Mesos, Docker, or Kubernetes.

• 2 years of hands-on management of CI/CD solutions, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.

• 3 years of experience working in a ticketing system, providing level-3 support, such as ServiceNow or Jira.

• Familiarity with working in an Agile environment.

• Experience in a global organization.

• Knowledge of managing schema changes as code.

• Capability to participate in an on-call pager rotation.

• An automation-focused approach to work.

• Strong emphasis on open collaboration and communication.

• Preference for a code-over-GUI-driven management approach.
