This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provision, manage, and enhance AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, CloudFormation, and sanctioned automation methodologies.
• Administer and resolve issues in AWS EKS/Kubernetes environments, covering cluster health, node group lifecycle, workloads, networking dependencies, and operational readiness.
• Create and sustain scripts, CI/CD workflows, and automation to minimize manual effort while enhancing repeatability and production support.
• Provide support for EC2, Windows, Linux, AMI image creation, patching coordination, and infrastructure lifecycle tasks.
• Enhance observability through dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, and runbooks for production services.
• Engage in on-call rotation, incident response, escalations, and post-incident improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and manage ServiceNow and Jira tasks throughout sprint cycles, including operational activities, change records, incidents, requests, and project outcomes.
• Participate in daily standups and status check-ins; share updates and identify risks, blockers, and dependencies.
• Review system, functional, security, and operational requirements, and report any identified gaps.
• Draft technical specifications, implementation documentation, operational manuals, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects and business partners regarding scope, effort, testing, implementation, and operational handoff.
• Estimate project time and resources and discuss estimates with senior staff.
• Conduct testing, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging prior to production release.
• Mentor junior associates, advocate for CloudOps standards, and exemplify senior-level ownership and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience with cloud implementations, production cloud operations, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Over 4 years of hands-on experience with public cloud environments, with a strong preference for AWS.
• Practical experience in administering, troubleshooting, and supporting AWS EKS/Kubernetes and containerized workloads in a production setting.
• Solid understanding of Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Ansible, and configuration management.
• Experience in designing, maintaining, or supporting CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with AWS services and operational patterns, including IAM, VPC/networking, EC2, load balancing, storage, backup/snapshot, and logging/monitoring.
• Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and version control.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems in cloud-hosted environments.
• Working knowledge of AMI image creation and lifecycle processes.
• Ability to produce technical documentation, runbooks, implementation notes, and operational standards.
• Strong technical, process-oriented, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently on complex operational challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes, or similar.
• Experience working with Product and Business Management teams is a plus.
• Background in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced technology environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based work management is preferred.
• Experience in supporting compliance, audit evidence, change management, risk remediation, or operational governance is preferred.
