Cloud Engineer, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee foundational components on GCP, including BigQuery, Secret Manager, Vertex AI, VPCs, Cloud Storage, and Cloud IAM.

• Carry out extensive data migrations to GCP utilizing industry best practices and migration tools (such as Migrate for Compute Engine).

• Develop secure cloud architectures that adhere to federal cloud computing security standards and Zero Trust principles.

• Monitor the performance of cloud infrastructure, resolve migration challenges, and optimize expenses.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of direct hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• Demonstrated experience in carrying out cloud migrations (including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring).

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
