Cloud Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the entire lifecycle of a contemporary AWS cloud environment.

• Collaborate closely with development teams and senior management to integrate DevOps best practices throughout the organization.

• Combine practical infrastructure automation (IaC and CI/CD pipelines) with observability and root-cause analysis efforts.

• Assist the wider team in learning from incidents and consistently enhance reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Occasional travel, both domestic and international, may be necessary (estimated at 0-15%, based on client and project requirements).

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (including networking, account structure, and infrastructure management).

• Expertise in Terraform/Terragrunt and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code implementations.

• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm Charts.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills in Unix/Linux systems.

• Proficiency in English at B2 (Upper Intermediate) level or higher, with the capacity to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Mid-Senior to Senior level experience is required.
