This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Design, construct, and sustain dependable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Create, uphold, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for seamless application delivery.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage and enhance containerized workloads with Docker.
• Implement and uphold monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Define and refine system health metrics, dashboards, and alert systems.
• Diagnose infrastructure, deployment, and production challenges.
• Assist in incident response and root-cause analysis for reliability concerns.
• Enforce security hardening measures and adhere to cloud infrastructure security best practices.
• Integrate code quality and security assessments into development and deployment workflows, including SonarQube.
• Spot opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and enhance engineering efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, Tech Leads, and Architects to enhance application reliability and deployment methodologies.
• Aid in establishing and maintaining best practices concerning infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Proactively recognize risks and bottlenecks within development and production environments.
• Over 3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Knowledge in implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, and system health metrics.
• Understanding of security hardening and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality/security tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Located in Latin America and available to work remotely.
• Plus: experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Plus: experience with Terraform.
• Plus: knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, and security services.
• Plus: experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
• Plus: experience with incident management, post-incident reviews, SRE practices, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, Agile/Scrum, or distributed/nearshore engineering teams.
• Remote work opportunity.
• 40 hours per week commitment.
• Full-time contract via a payroll platform.
• Monthly salary ranging from USD $3,200 to $4,800, based on experience and skill set.
