Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement and manage integration and cloud architecture according to enterprise standards established by Solution Architecture.

• Guide and mentor Integration Platform and Cloud Engineers.

• Uphold integration standards, patterns, and reference architectures across both cloud and enterprise systems.

• Oversee API strategy, lifecycle policies, and security standards in compliance with established enterprise guidelines.

• Assess platform evolution and investments in alignment with enterprise architecture.

• Govern cloud foundations, environments, IAM, security, and compliance.

• Supervise CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and application lifecycle governance.

• Collaborate with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to create scalable solutions that adhere to approved patterns.

• Ensure comprehensive quality: resilience, observability, security, and SLA governance.

• Engage in hands-on contributions to platform configuration, integration design, and infrastructure alongside the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Integration or Solution Architect in enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms: Azure and/or AWS — including Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, Virtual Networks, Firewalls, API Gateway, databases, and Blob Storage.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, deployment strategies, and application lifecycle governance.

• Knowledge of Security & IAM, including identity management, RBAC, and platform-level security policies.

• Expertise in enterprise integration patterns and large-scale API design.

• Experience in API governance, including lifecycle management, OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and versioning policies.

• Familiarity with integration platforms such as IBM API Connect, MuleSoft, or similar.

• Understanding of asynchronous/event-driven architecture.

• Experience with data contracts, schema governance, and transformation standards.

• Proficient in using Terraform for cloud and integration platform provisioning (Infrastructure as Code).

• Knowledge of observability practices: metrics, alerts, dashboards, and distributed tracing.

• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in cross-functional enterprise environments.

• Preferred: Experience with SaaS integrations like SAP and Salesforce.

• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data platform integration (ETL/ELT).

• Familiarity with FinOps best practices applied to cloud platform management.

• Soft skills: proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish; English is required.

• Strong communication skills with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to produce structured documentation: architecture decision records (ADRs), integration blueprints, and governance policies.
