Closing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all talent acquisition initiatives and guide hiring teams in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers to eligible candidates.

• Supervise performance management for team members; conduct thoughtful performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and address performance support requirements.

• Foster and sustain a positive team culture; design proactive employee engagement strategies and address conflicts that disrupt the work environment.

• Train and onboard new hires, ensuring they integrate smoothly into the team.

• Create opportunities for professional development for all team members, advocating for their ongoing growth.

• Maintain effective communication through one-on-one meetings and team gatherings.

• Lead team-related projects; thoroughly define scopes, establish timelines and resource needs, organize meetings, delegate assignments, collaborate across departments, and communicate project goals, updates, and challenges effectively.

• Oversee the workload and pipeline for all team members, ensuring high performance across the board.

• Take ownership of the development, implementation, and modification of policies and procedures.

• Align company-wide objectives with department-level actionable items quarterly and guide departmental and individual contributor goals.

• Analyze relevant data, generate valuable insights, and present findings to leadership.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and inquiries from team members.

• Ensure quality control and provide teachable moments for all team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in loan processing or closing.

• Extensive knowledge of Right of Rescission (RTC) requirements, including timing calculations, compliance implications, and how rescission affects funding release.

• Comprehension of how title exceptions, liens, judgments, and payoffs influence closing strategies, with confidence in driving resolutions across vendors and internal teams.

• Proven experience in leading a high-performing team.

• Demonstrated success in managing projects from conception through execution.

• Competence in drafting effective policies and procedures.

• Capability to manage performance, resolve conflicts, and provide feedback to underperforming team members.

• Skilled in effectively managing change through communication both upward and downward.

• Proven leadership abilities, including conducting constructive discussions, setting and achieving deadlines, proactively conveying challenges and changes within the department, and regularly relaying information to all management levels.

• Ability to make decisions based on data analysis.

• Experience with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) is preferred.
