Clinician Coding Liaison – Vascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide proactive education on coding through newsletters, scorecards, and presentations.

• Oversee onboarding and compliance training for all employed Physicians and APPs.

• Offer personalized feedback on documentation by reviewing records of new clinicians and conducting spot checks.

• Act as the main point of contact for inquiries related to coding.

• Supervise Epic work queues to guarantee timely and accurate charge submissions.

• Collaborate with various departments to improve documentation practices and optimize systems.

• Engage in specialty and departmental meetings.

• Enhance Epic documentation tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of advanced training through a recognized or accredited program, equivalent in scope and rigor to post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge.

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Generally requires 4 years of experience in expert-level professional coding.

• Advanced coding expertise is necessary.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

• Advanced knowledge of Epic and various reporting tools.

• Highly skilled in problem-solving and analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, electronic coding applications, and email communication.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Capability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions regarding coding and compliance.

• Strong initiative and capacity to contribute to process improvements.
