• A workplace where individuals cultivate careers rather than mere jobs—our average employee tenure exceeds 4 years, reflecting our culture, mission, and growth opportunities.

• The Role: This position offers a chance to collaborate closely with, and under the clinical oversight of, our Principal Doctor, assisting in the establishment of a safe and resilient NHS prescribing service as it expands.

• You will be instrumental in the daily clinical delivery of our private, BSOP, and Specialist Weight Management (SWMS) pathways, including prescribing, reviewing complex cases, implementing MDT outcomes, and supporting our health coaches. • What You'll Do

• Provide prescribing support across our BSOP service, encompassing clinical assessments, medication reviews, issuing prescriptions, and addressing prescribing inquiries in accordance with established protocols.

• Assess patient eligibility using available information, including Summary Care Records, GP records, online questionnaires, medical history, and biometric, self-reported, and laboratory data.

• Conduct planned monthly follow-ups, monitoring adherence, responses, and side effects, while collaborating with our Patient Coordinators to manage recalls and safety monitoring.

• Perform complex patient reviews and thorough medication assessments within SWMS, escalating cases to the MDT and consulting with the Principal Doctor as needed.

• Promptly action MDT outcomes to a high clinical standard, including liaising with GPs and secondary care clinicians, conducting patient consultations and follow-up calls, and managing sensitive discussions such as medication discontinuation or treatment ineligibility.

• Provide clinical leadership during SWMS MDT meetings in the absence of the Principal Doctor, ensuring continuity of safe and effective decision-making.

• Support the expansion of our Right to Choose pathway by advising on referral triage, reviewing complex cases, and assisting colleagues with clinically sensitive patient communications.

• Serve as a trusted clinical resource for health coaches across all Second Nature services, offering guidance, addressing clinical queries, and delivering education and training on key topics.

• Contribute to the development and continuous enhancement of clinical protocols, prescribing guidelines, training materials, and audit activities, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and broader regulatory requirements.

• Exercise sound clinical judgment, managing your own prescribing responsibilities while escalating complex or high-risk cases through the appropriate governance channels.

• Strong clinical background in managing patients with complex comorbidities, particularly cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other obesity-related long-term conditions.
