
Clinical Specialist – Organ Care System (OCS)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Undergo comprehensive hands-on training and earn OCS Certification across all relevant organ platforms - OCS Lung/ Liver/ Heart
• Assist in the clinical application of OCS technology during organ retrieval, preservation, transportation, and assessment, adhering to TransMedics protocols and clinical standards
• Maintain a flexible on-call schedule to support urgent transplant cases, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Travel as necessary to transplant centers and clinical locations within the EU transplant network and other regions to assist with OCS cases and customer needs
• Provide real-time updates on cases and escalate issues to the TransMedics EU Clinical Programs and Training Lead
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with clinicians, transplant centers, customers, and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to regional meetings, workshops, and events by offering clinical expertise to customers and internal commercial teams
• Prepare and deliver internal case reviews following the use of OCS
• Oversee OCS equipment at the Netherlands logistics hub, including maintenance, inventory management, troubleshooting, and routine testing
• Facilitate site initiations, refresher training, and ongoing clinical education for OCS users
• Collaborate across functions with Clinical, Commercial, Operations, and Training teams to promote the adoption and growth of OCS technology within the Netherlands and the broader European market
• Aid in providing product and clinical training to internal sales and commercial teams
• Stay updated on relevant clinical literature, market trends, and competitive developments
• Represent TransMedics at national and international congresses, industry meetings, and customer engagements
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support business and clinical operations
• Degree in Techniques of Cardiocirculatory Pathophysiology and Vascular Perfusion (or an equivalent qualification)
• Minimum of 3 years of pertinent clinical experience required
• Certification from the European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is mandatory
• Active registration with the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Perfusionisten is required
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written, is required (minimum B2 English level)
• Must live within a reasonable distance from the Netherlands logistics hub
• Highly adaptable and willing to support urgent transplant cases during nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
• Ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Capacity to build and sustain trusted professional relationships internally and externally
• Strong customer interaction and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings
• Flexible and capable of managing shifting priorities effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and expense management systems such as Concur
