Clinical Scientist, MR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Facilitate research collaboration initiatives across various UK&I locations as part of a Europe-wide Philips Clinical Scientists team.

• Manage partnerships for research collaborations with multiple sites and pinpoint projects that offer mutual benefits.

• Coordinate with legal teams regarding the administration of research agreements.

• Provide scientific direction in MR within the European Clinical Science team.

• Assist clinical scientists, academics, and clinical personnel with inquiries related to research.

• Contribute to academic publications and customer research initiatives, encompassing MR methods development and clinical investigations.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.

• Support the Philips sales process by leveraging knowledge of the roadmap and research advancements.

• Aid in technical demonstrations, customer engagements, and clinical training sessions.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Applications teams to address local troubleshooting issues.

• Articulate the value of Philips MR Clinical Science initiatives to the broader Precision Diagnosis team.

• Convey customer clinical requirements and research findings to Philips and advocate for necessary actions.

• Offer clinical and technical insights to the MR Business.

• Provide strategic assistance to MR product development and clinical science teams.

• Represent Philips at conferences and professional organizations, building a global scientific MR network.

• Report to the Clinical Science Lead in Philips’ Europe–North region and engage with the local UK&I MR team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Completed doctoral thesis or a series of scientific publications focused on MR-related subjects.

• Proficiency in operating Philips MR scanners independently and conducting scans.

• Ability to program research applications, including pulse sequences, image reconstruction, and post-processing analysis.

• Comprehensive understanding of Philips MR technology.

• Current knowledge of MR advancements.

• Programming experience is advantageous.

• Interest in engaging within a clinical setting.

• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.

• Eagerness to work collaboratively, including in remote settings.

• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, various departments, and the sales organization.

• Demonstrated ability to present scientific and clinical data to clinical, technical, and managerial audiences.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.
