Clinical Scientist, MR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in research collaboration initiatives across various UK&I locations as part of a Europe-wide Philips Clinical Scientists team.

• Oversee research partnerships with Philips at multiple collaborating sites.

• Identify and facilitate projects that offer mutual benefits to clients and Philips.

• Coordinate with legal teams regarding the administration of research agreements when necessary.

• Provide scientific direction in MR within the Philips Clinical Science team across Europe.

• Manage customer expectations and share knowledge with Philips.

• Act as a liaison between local sites and international luminary networks.

• Offer first-line support for research-related inquiries at customer sites and direct further questions within Philips.

• Engage in customer research projects and contribute to the creation of academic papers.

• Work on the development of MR methods and clinical research projects.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.

• Represent customer viewpoints within Philips.

• Keep updated on Philips’ roadmap and research advancements to assist Sales.

• Help with technical demonstrations, customer visits, and clinical training sessions.

• Deliver technical presentations at User Group meetings and vendor portfolio presentations during scientific events.

• Support local troubleshooting efforts alongside Engineering and Applications teams.

• Communicate the value of Philips MR Clinical Science initiatives to the broader Precision Diagnosis team.

• Relay customer clinical requirements and research findings to Philips and inspire suitable actions.

• Provide clinical and technical feedback to the MR Business in Best, Netherlands.

• Support MR Business product development and clinical science teams.

• Represent Philips at conferences and professional organizations while establishing a global scientific MR network.

• Report to the Clinical Science Lead in Philips’ Europe–North region and collaborate with local UK&I teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.

• Completion of a doctoral thesis or a series of scientific publications on MR-related subjects.

• Capability to independently operate Philips’ MR scanners and conduct scans.

• Ability to program research applications, including pulse sequences, image reconstruction, and post-processing analysis.

• Comprehensive understanding of Philips MR technology.

• Current knowledge of MR innovations.

• Interest in working within a clinical setting.

• Programming experience is preferred.

• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.

• Strong collaborative skills, including when working remotely.

• Excellent social skills for engaging with customers, departments, and the sales organization.

• Proven track record of effectively presenting scientific and clinical information to clinical, technical, and managerial audiences.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
