Clinical Sales Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Achieve sales targets for capital medical devices and software within complex, long-cycle clinical sales environments.

• Engage with stakeholders in health systems and hospitals, from clinical users to C-suite executives, regarding best practices in infusion therapy, industry trends, clinical accuracy, and patient outcomes.

• Perform current-state assessments of IV therapy and create future-state clinical value propositions that align with customer goals.

• Offer sales consultation and workflow analyses focused on IV medication safety and best practices.

• Identify inefficiencies in IV technology and practices, safety issues, revenue opportunities, cost-saving potentials, and areas of regulatory non-compliance.

• Suggest redesigns of workflows and modifications to practices.

• Act as the clinical infusion subject matter expert for both internal sales personnel and customers.

• Collaborate with Device Sales Specialists, Strategic Business Solutions, regional managers, product teams, implementation and support teams, as well as sales training personnel.

• Provide customer insights and feedback for product development and software enhancements.

• Keep abreast of advancements in infusion technology, industry organizations, practice guidelines, and recommendations.

• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and opportunities, and complete special projects as assigned.

• Travel is expected to be around 75% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must be at least 18 years old.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in hospital clinical education or departmental management/leadership is required.

• Active compliance with all credentialing requirements, including the COVID-19 vaccination, is necessary for customer locations.

• A valid driver’s license and adherence to the Authorized Driver Policy are required.

• Extensive experience in acute care hospital IV infusion administration, patient throughput, nursing practices, IV medication administration, and EMR workflows is essential.

• Preferred experience includes implementing, using, or managing infusion systems that incorporate safety or dose-error-reduction software.

• Current RN licensure and critical care background are preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

• Strong understanding of healthcare markets, trends, infusion therapy, and EMR integration platforms is required.

• Effective skills in communication, collaboration, presentations, business writing, critical thinking, problem resolution, and technical abilities.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and travel; experience in team-selling is preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary.
