This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver expert clinical risk and safeguarding assistance to operational teams and clients.
• Enhance understanding of clinical risk, safeguarding duties, and clinical governance throughout service areas.
• Facilitate training and communication initiatives.
• Perform clinical impact evaluations following incidents, safeguarding issues, change requests, and transformation efforts.
• Identify suitable solutions that reduce clinical and service-user repercussions.
• Participate in clinical risk management, safeguarding, and incident management protocols, strategies, and ongoing enhancement.
• Keep clinical risk registers, safeguarding documentation, clinical incident records, and preventive and corrective action plans up to date.
• Oversee and manage professional body and registration obligations for healthcare practitioners.
• Provide assurance that team members comply with professional body standards.
• Ensure adherence to contractual penalties, waivers, and escalation procedures.
• Act as a representative for Clinical Governance in meetings, forums, and initiatives.
• Make independent judgments within established guidelines and escalate issues as necessary.
• Assist in clinical governance strategic and routine activities centered on clinical risk, safeguarding, incident learning, and continuous improvement.
• Qualified UK registered healthcare professional.
• At least two years of post-registration experience.
• Current, unrestricted professional registration with the GMC, NMC, or HCPC.
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance and the seven pillars.
• Completed Level 4 Child and/or Adult Safeguarding training, or equivalent demonstrable safeguarding proficiency.
• Comprehensive knowledge or proven understanding of clinical assessment, healthcare service delivery, safeguarding, clinical risk management, or regulated service processes.
• Profound understanding of clinical, operational, social, and cultural factors impacting health assessment, support services, and service-user experiences.
• Experience in making challenging decisions under pressure.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuous professional registration.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to foster effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• £46,000 annual salary.
