This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Clinical Research during the engagement, overseeing all elements of the operational evaluation and change management strategy.
• Conduct comprehensive interviews with clinical research personnel and stakeholders throughout the clinical trial lifecycle to pinpoint operational deficiencies, bottlenecks, communication hurdles, and enhancement opportunities across both Oncology and Non-Oncology programs.
• Collaborate with executive and operational stakeholders to evaluate the organization’s readiness for change and propose sustainable transformation strategies.
• Work alongside the Vitalief team to create effective interview guides, assessment frameworks, and change management strategies.
• Analyze existing workflows, governance frameworks, staffing structures, and technology usage to uncover opportunities for operational alignment and standardization.
• Contrast Oncology and Non-Oncology operations to discover transferable best practices and chances for cross-functional integration.
• Formulate prioritized, actionable recommendations that tackle immediate operational issues while facilitating long-term scalability and organizational acceptance.
• Design and present a clear transformation roadmap aimed at operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, process optimization, and effective cross-system collaboration.
• Provide regular updates on project status to executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely achievement of engagement milestones.
• Deliver presentations at the executive level summarizing findings, recommendations, change impacts, and measurable next steps.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in clinical research operations, ideally within Academic Medical Centers and/or community hospital systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Demonstrated experience leading operational assessments, organizational transformation, and enterprise-wide change management efforts.
• Preferred experience in supporting both Oncology and Non-Oncology clinical trial operations.
• Strong understanding of change management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and strategies for organizational adoption.
• Prior consulting experience providing strategic solutions to healthcare or research clients is preferred.
• Excellent executive-level communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex findings.
• Proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving operational enhancements in complex, matrixed environments.
• Proficiency with research operations technologies, including CTMS, EMR integrations, workflow tools, and analytics platforms.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities, including risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Established ability to cultivate C-suite relationships, lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor high-performing teams.
• A strategic, collaborative, and results-driven leader who excels in fast-paced settings.
• Remote work (EST zone hours) with up to 10% domestic travel.
