Senior Biostatistician – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support clinical trials or various scientific research initiatives.

• Assist in creating statistical analysis plans, Mock TFL shells (or product safety analysis plans/integrated summary of safety analysis plans/analysis plans for GMA evidence generation) with specific details for programming implementation.

• Help oversee and conduct quality control on the work of CROs under supervision.

• Collaborate with Statistical Programming to perform quality control on internal programming outputs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results within established timelines.

• Aid in identifying scientifically valid data collection instruments.

• Detect and report any data discrepancies or breaches of study assumptions.

• Provide programming specifications for derived variables and analysis datasets.

• Work together with Data Management to prepare for database lock.

• Conduct statistical analyses according to the analysis plan under supervision.

• Ensure the accuracy and internal consistency of reports and publications, including tables, listings, and figures.

• Guarantee the precision of the statistical sections in scientific reports and/or publications, maintaining a high standard of quality.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including DM, medical team, and PK/PD teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS degree with over 10 years of experience or a PhD with more than 7 years of experience in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.

• Exceptional technical proficiency and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficient in SAS and/or R programming is essential.

• Capable of performing statistical computations and simulations.

• Able to identify data or analytical challenges and contribute solutions, either through personal expertise or by seeking assistance from others.

• Skilled in building strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners to enhance performance.
