Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Program Oversight

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate all CVS Caremark clinical programs during the concept phase and annually assess current programs for compliance with CMS, NCQA, and URAC regulations.

• Facilitate external consultations and prepare necessary documentation for reviews of CVS Caremark clinical programs.

• Distribute minutes from meetings.

• Engage in the Utilization Management Pharmacy and Therapeutics Subcommittee process.

• Prepare materials and actively participate in support of the Caremark National P&T Committee process.

• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Omnicare, Specialty Program Development, Corporate Quality, Appeals, and other departments on clinical matters.

• Communicate timely and pertinent clinical information.

• Assist the CPO Manager and the Vice President of Clinical Affairs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience as a clinical pharmacist.

• Proven experience in the PBM clinical pharmacy sector.

• Strong clinical and analytical capabilities.

• Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to customize communication for diverse audiences.

• Robust clinical background in evidence-based medicine.

• Skilled in online literature searches, including PubMed and Lexicomp.

• Detail-oriented in the creation and editing of documents for accuracy, spelling, grammar, and content.

• Excellent project management abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with formulary and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee concepts, clinical programs, and PBM.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% if required.

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing.

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy school.

• Preferred: Completion of a Post Graduate (PGY1/PGY2) Pharmacy Residency.

• Preferred: Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).

• Preferred: Significant clinical experience in drug information and the UM program process.
