This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete process of state licensing, renewals, permits, and registrations for multi-state mental health professionals (Counselors, Social Workers, MFTs, NPs, Psychiatrists).
• Serve as the main point of contact for state licensing boards, actively managing audits, regulatory changes, scope modifications, and board inquiries.
• Evaluate clinicians for licensure eligibility by assessing their education, exams, supervision history, and professional experience against the specific requirements of each state.
• Provide exceptional licensing support by handling all delegable tasks on behalf of clinicians to speed up and streamline the licensure process.
• Organize background checks, fingerprinting, and other compliance services in line with state board requirements.
• Supervise and carry out licensure renewals, ensuring timely submissions, follow-ups, and ongoing compliance.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of state-specific licensing laws and regulations, documenting and continually enhancing state-by-state processes to ensure consistency and readiness for audits.
• Investigate CEU requirements and proactively inform clinicians about renewal deadlines and compliance responsibilities.
• Educate internal and cross-functional stakeholders regarding licensing regulations, updates, and compliance considerations as necessary.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in healthcare; experience in behavioral healthcare is advantageous.
• Experience with clinician or MD licensing across multiple states is essential.
• Must possess proficient knowledge of TJC Behavioral Health and HIPAA Standards.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A proactive mindset with a strong ability to take initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and listening skills, demonstrated through a natural, consultative approach.
• Ability to energize, communicate, and establish rapport at all organizational levels.
