This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Analyzes and documents existing clinical workflows while proposing enhanced future workflows for application modifications.
• Identifies and presents opportunities for system enhancements along with innovative technical solutions for clinic-related scenarios.
• Recognizes, suggests, develops, and showcases application configuration prototypes for evaluation and approval.
• Conducts ongoing maintenance and configuration updates for Epic applications.
• Develops test scripts, timelines, and plans for modifications in applications and workflows.
• Evaluates clinical information system configurations and processes across various applications.
• Organizes and engages in testing with requestors and end-users.
• Delivers tier-two end-user support both remotely and in person.
• Monitors, investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves incoming support tickets.
• Acts as a liaison between users and software vendors.
• Manages system fixes and changes in collaboration with software vendors.
• Coordinates the deployment of application changes with the training team and operational staff.
• Performs project management responsibilities and leads key initiatives.
• Develops, documents, and adheres to internal procedures for related applications and systems.
• Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a matrixed setting.
• Proficient in critical and analytical thinking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competency in troubleshooting.
• Exceptional organizational management capabilities.
• Skills in project management.
• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of pertinent experience with clinical or business systems.
• Familiarity with software development and build lifecycles.
• Epic certification for assigned modules (Beaker) is necessary within 18 months of employment, as mandated by the department director.
• Epic Beaker certification must be upheld according to Epic Corporation standards.
• May be required to uphold the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure as per Texas EO-GA-48.
