This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Collaborate closely with Management to enhance functional forecasting initiatives.
• Take responsibility for the data content used in functional decision-making related to OOP external resource needs.
• Engage in analytics, develop training documentation, support process improvement projects, and contribute to system requirements and testing initiatives.
• Gather key cost drivers, assumptions, and necessary information to create a trial budget forecast estimate.
• Work alongside the project team to produce high-level estimates that support therapeutic area strategy reviews and financial updates.
• Lead the consolidation of detailed trial budget assumptions and costs based on contracted values for streamlined review by business partners.
• Assist in governance or budget gap review meetings as needed.
• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and presentation of trial budgets to the leadership team.
• Prepare business recommendations derived from the analysis of these budgets.
• Provide financial leadership, strategic insight, and budget support to the TA/portfolio.
• Aid in quarterly financial closes for clinical trial expenses, including the collection of accruals and completing commentary on significant variances from the plan.
• Deliver process training, communication, and guidance as necessary to support business leaders with budget responsibilities.
• Identify and engage in opportunities to continuously enhance processes, tools, and analytical methodologies to optimize forecasting and execution of clinical trial expenditures.
• A minimum of a BA/BS degree or at least 3 years of equivalent work experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years within a drug development environment, is essential.
• Strongly preferred is experience in clinical trial forecasting within a pharmaceutical company and/or a CRO.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, along with experience in a team or functional environment, are required.
• Exceptional time management, prioritization, and communication skills are necessary.
• Candidates should be adept at using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with particular emphasis on utilizing Excel spreadsheets for business analyses.
• Familiarity with tools and systems such as Planisware, Cognos, Beacon, Medidata, Tableau, and Advanced Excel is preferred.
