
Clinical Counselling Student Practicum

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Provide supervised direct and indirect clinical services, which include confidential counselling.
β’ Engage in case consultation, debriefing sessions, clinical planning, and documentation.
β’ Utilize evidence-based practices, adhere to ethical guidelines, and maintain professional standards.
β’ Participate in training, supervision, and reflective learning activities.
β’ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated client care.
β’ Enhance skills in brief intervention, risk assessment, treatment planning, and outcome-focused care.
β’ Must be currently enrolled in a Masterβs Program that is relevant to Clinical Counselling.
β’ Vulnerable Sector Clearance β Can be applied for once a placement offer is made.
β’ Provisional Status Registration with your chosen governing body is required.
β’ An internet speed of at least 50 Mbps is necessary - a confirmation screenshot will be required (fast.com).
β’ Availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week is essential (to be completed over three weekdays).
β’ A dedicated and confidential workspace is required.
β’ Understanding of culturally responsive and trauma-informed care principles is necessary.
β’ Capability to work respectfully with diverse populations, including Indigenous, racialized, newcomer, 2SLGBTQIA+, disability, neurodiverse, and other equity-deserving communities.
β’ Structured clinical supervision provided by experienced practitioners.
β’ Opportunities to develop skills in risk assessment, safety planning, case formulation, and treatment planning.
