Clinical Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Analyze, interpret, and convert clinical study documentation, such as protocols, imaging charters, procedure manuals, and scientific requirements into comprehensive business and functional software specifications.

• Collect, document, assess, and manage study-specific business and system requirements to facilitate accurate software configuration and deployment.

• Create and uphold client configuration specifications, business requirements documentation, workflows, use cases, and supplementary project materials.

• Work in conjunction with scientific, operational, client-facing, and technology teams to verify requirements and ensure coherence throughout the project lifecycle.

• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to guarantee that study requirements are thoroughly understood and effectively executed.

• Examine system configurations and software solutions to ensure they meet approved study requirements and customer expectations.

• Assist in software validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), installation, deployment, and resolution of issues.

• Conduct impact assessments and aid in change control activities related to study requirements, system enhancements, and configuration updates.

• Ensure adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and departmental protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in clinical research, medical writing, project management, business analysis, clinical data management, or a similar role supporting technology solutions within a clinical trial context.

• Prior experience in clinical trials and familiarity with clinical research processes is preferred.

• Previous involvement in supporting medical imaging studies is preferred.

• Proven proficiency in creating software configuration specifications, business requirements, functional requirements, and related system documentation.

• Demonstrated capability to convert complex clinical study requirements into clear, detailed, and testable software specifications.

• Experience in collaborating with software development, validation, quality assurance, product management, and operational teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), software validation, and issue resolution activities is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business software tools.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Proven capability to work independently while fostering a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
