Clinical Admissions Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients upon their admission to establish a trusting relationship.

• Conduct virtual biopsychosocial assessments for individuals across all age groups, including children, teens, young adults, and adults.

• Provide information about programming to assist clients in accessing necessary care.

• Assess the suitability and alignment for the virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) level of care.

• Formulate provisional mental health diagnoses in accordance with DSM-V criteria.

• Record client details in the electronic medical record system while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

• Designate treatment team members and group schedules, and notify staff about new admissions.

• Facilitate intake processes in collaboration with the Admissions, Verification of Benefits, Utilization Review, and Clinical teams.

• Work together with referral sources such as hospitals, treatment facilities, psychiatrists, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals.

• Be available for required shifts during mornings, afternoons, evenings, and potentially on weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• An independent license in a mental health field is mandatory.

• While an independent license is preferred, associate-level clinicians aiming for professional growth toward full licensure may be considered.

• Prior experience working with children, teens, young adults, and adults is favored.

• Familiarity with conducting behavioral health assessments and admissions is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Proficiency in English, either as a native speaker or bilingual, is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Access to reliable technological resources is necessary for maintaining uninterrupted, confidential, and compliant telehealth services.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced setting while ensuring meticulous attention to detail and quality of care.

• Must be available for shifts from 11am–7pm MT or 12pm–8pm MT, with weekends encouraged.

• Completion of state background checks is required to obtain clearance for client interactions.
