This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the Case Management Department with both clinical and clerical intake activities.
• Validate clinical and clerical data for current and prospective Case Management cases.
• Oversee and handle Case Management referrals and service approvals in collaboration with the Executive Director of Case Management.
• Assist Case Managers in processing cases.
• Operate within the scope of licensure under the direct supervision of the Director of Case Management.
• Identify case-opening criteria for Case Management based on service agreements.
• Work together with MedWatch departments to assess case-opening suitability and direction, and gather necessary information.
• Respond to and prioritize incoming calls that require clinical or clerical details.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns or refer them to the appropriate individual, office, or claims customer service team.
• Make outbound calls to customers, providers, and patients to gather essential information.
• Collect clinical, demographic, and related information from customers, providers, employees/patients, and employer groups.
• Input clinical and demographic data into the computer information system.
• Stay informed about URAC, state precertification, and specific contract requirements of the company.
• Ensure accurate program data is maintained and entered.
• Foster effective working relationships with customers, providers, employees/patients, employer groups, and MedWatch staff.
• Engage in the Quality Management Program and pinpoint opportunities for service enhancement.
• Assist with reconsiderations and appeals assessments.
• Help in assigning cases to Case Managers.
• Support the management of the admissions process and admissions personnel.
• Education in Licensed Practical Nursing.
• Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of practice and residence within the United States or its territories.
• Preferred 5 years of diverse clinical experience or 3 years in a specialized field.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to manage challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Robust computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Leadership abilities are advantageous.
