This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Initiate the launch of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory.
• Enhance performance while collaborating with cross-functional partners and external clients to achieve Ionis objectives.
• Establish, maintain, and utilize local healthcare-system networks and relationships.
• Create and implement effective business plans along with customer-centric territory strategic account plans.
• Inform healthcare professionals and office personnel about FCS, its diagnostic pathway, and the urgency of treatment.
• Offer value-added resources and support materials and programs for HCPs and patients.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Collect account insights and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Comprehend local FCS referral networks and identify potential HCPs caring for FCS patients.
• Implement brand strategic plans to optimize business opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Interact with endocrinologists, cardiologists, and other pertinent specialists in hospital and office settings.
• Attend field meetings and training sessions, completing all necessary certifications and compliance training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and disseminate customer engagement insights with field teams and leadership.
• Leverage available platforms and technology to interact with customers through various channels.
• Partner on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across different regions.
• Adhere to Ionis policies, procedures, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Have over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Demonstrated experience in launching new products.
• Proven experience in account-based selling.
• Familiarity with HCP and IDN engagement.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other subspecialties that treat FCS patients.
• Preference for candidates with injectable experience.
• Knowledge of the Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) community.
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies.
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
