This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Assurant’s customers, esteemed client representatives, and service partners to minimize and resolve service delays.
• Foster constructive relationships with customers, service partners, and internal teams while delivering effective resolution paths.
• Manage customer escalations and service inquiries via phone calls, emails, or web forms.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and address issues faced by customers and service providers.
• Assist with claims related to the repair of home appliances, consumer electronics, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Make repair and settlement decisions within authorized limits, balancing cost savings with customer satisfaction.
• Engage approved vendors to acquire parts necessary for repairs.
• Audit and verify provider claims, settlements, service denials, and reimbursements prior to payment processing.
• Enforce agreements with independent servicers and comply with multi-client contract terms and conditions.
• Oversee multiple issues and cases concurrently.
• Evaluate risks and strive for the most favorable outcomes for amicable resolutions.
• Record and monitor issues across various tracking systems for reporting and accountability purposes.
• Communicate status updates and solutions clearly, tactfully, and empathetically to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Compose written correspondence to customers and service providers in response to inquiries or escalations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance customer experience and Assurant Operations while minimizing costs.
• Minimum of 3 years in Direct Customer Service, including experience with escalations.
• At least 2 years in Business to Business or Vendor Customer Service.
• A minimum of 2 years composing responses to external contacts.
• An Associate degree in Business or a related field (beneficial).
• Over 3 years of experience in Vendor Management (advantageous).
• More than 3 years of experience in Connected Living (advantageous).
