Client Finance Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the overall monthly project accounting activities, which includes taking notes during monthly status meetings with project managers and updating financial trackers for projects.

• Establish new projects in time & expense systems and files, ensuring signatures are verified, aligning with Salesforce, and addressing any discrepancies.

• Aid in updating project files for change orders, budget modifications, and carve-outs, as well as updating project financial trackers for specific milestones and tasks.

• Record intercompany revenue and cost transactions, and maintain updated shared financial trackers.

• Assist in preparing and investigating hours and expenses related to client projects, including reviewing assigned billing roles and rates.

• Prepare client invoices in accordance with contracts and follow up with clients on overdue invoices. When necessary, create and manage the invoicing waterfall per contracts.

• Aid in preparing monthly client accruals.

• Monitor project costs against contracted amounts as well as other direct costs shared across various projects and clients.

• Assist in setting up and tracking new employees and, when relevant, subcontractor hours, billing rates, and expenses on a monthly basis compared to forecasts and budgets.

• Update basic and routine monthly general ledger account reconciliations and collaborate with the SG&A team as required.

• Support ad hoc projects when necessary, including the preparation of the annual budget.

• Help gather supporting documents for the annual audit.

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on accounting, finance, or business.

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
