This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee the operations of various teams comprising examiners and technical personnel for liability claims on behalf of clients.
• Monitor the workloads of team members, offer training, and track individual claim activities.
• Provide technical and jurisdictional guidance on examiner reports concerning claims adjudication.
• Maintain a diary for claims within the teams, including regular updates on complex or high-exposure claims.
• Identify and inform management about trends, challenges, and issues, while also suggesting appropriate courses of action.
• Communicate new procedures and ideas aimed at continuous process enhancement to management.
• Collaborate with management on projects relevant to the office.
• Conduct quality reviews of claims to ensure compliance with audit standards, service contract requirements, and quality benchmarks.
• Serve as a second level of appeal for client and claimant inquiries related to specific claims, procedures, or special requests.
• Review reserve amounts for high-cost claims and those exceeding the individual examiner's authority.
• Monitor third-party claims and conduct periodic reviews of litigated claims, serious vocational rehabilitation claims, questionable claims, and sensitive claims as determined by the client.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding claims and foster a professional relationship; provide recommendations based on the claim status.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• A minimum of six (6) years of claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including two (2) years in a claims supervisory role, is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of claims management processes and procedures across multiple product lines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• Proficient in PC operations, including Microsoft Office Suite.
