
Claims Supervisor – Commercial Auto Property Damage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee a team within a shared service claims division, which includes:
• Managing the investigation and resolution of a high volume of low-severity commercial auto property damage claims.
• Providing ongoing coaching, development, and performance support to team members.
• Training and onboarding new staff members.
• Ensuring that claim handling adheres to best practices and compliance standards.
• Acting as a technical resource and subject matter expert for the team.
• Overseeing quality control initiatives, including file audits and compliance assessments.
• Identifying and implementing process and technology enhancements to improve claim assignment, workflow, and efficiency.
• Assisting with monthly reporting and billing activities.
• Researching and benchmarking industry best practices to promote continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintaining an active inventory of claims across various jurisdictions, with volume contingent on team size.
• Investigating, evaluating, reserving, and resolving claims in line with best practices and compliance regulations.
• Effectively communicating with policyholders, claimants, lienholders, agents, and vendors.
• Operating efficiently across multiple claims handling systems and platforms to manage claim files, document activities, and ensure timely resolutions.
• Fostering strong relationships between divisional contacts and the shared service team.
• Supporting vendor relationships and assessing vendor performance and opportunities.
• Encouraging collaboration between Corporate Claims and divisional partners.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience in managing commercial auto property damage claims.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of commercial auto claims processes, coverage, compliance, and best practices.
