This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Review and clarify coverage specifics and the claims process for customers.
• Establish reserves for expected expenses and organize vehicle inspections and rental approvals.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns throughout the claims process to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Employ various communication methods (phone calls, emails, texts, letters) to gather information from involved parties, including witnesses.
• Examine law enforcement reports and seek additional evidence (dash cam footage, surveillance video) to evaluate the facts of loss and determine liability.
• Recognize and escalate high-risk cases with significant indemnity exposure or suspected fraud to supervisors for further examination or investigation.
• Review medical records to assess, negotiate, and resolve moderate bodily injury claims with legal representatives for both represented claimants and unrepresented individuals.
• Act as the primary contact for customers, collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless claims experience and complete customer satisfaction.
• Work with a team to meet the needs of shared customers when necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a high-volume work environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred 6-12 months of claims adjusting experience.
• Previous experience in a remote work setting is an advantage.
