This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop and manage claims intake, triage, tracking, and escalation procedures across treaty and delegated authority reinsurance operations.
• Facilitate claims notifications, bordereaux, reserve changes, supporting documents, and information requests among cedants, reinsurers, fronting carriers, TPAs, and internal teams.
• Keep a comprehensive and auditable claims register detailing status, ownership, financial transactions, next steps, and escalation triggers.
• Oversee reporting and payment obligations.
• Collaborate with Technical Accounting and Treasury to ensure accurate and timely claims settlements.
• Drive operational resolution for aged claims, missing data, disputed items, and delayed responses.
• Appropriately escalate commercial, coverage, or conduct issues.
• Collaborate with Wordings, Legal and Compliance, and broking teams to ensure claims management adheres to contract terms and agreed authorities.
• Generate management reports on claims volumes, aging, reserves, payment status, exceptions, and recurring root causes.
• Enhance processes, controls, and systems as the portfolio expands, including the effective use of automation and structured data.
• Establish a reliable, unified view of claims and their financial status.
• Implement clear service standards, ownership, and escalation procedures for every active claim.
• Minimize aging and prevent avoidable exceptions while reinforcing client and market confidence.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in claims operations, claims servicing, or reinsurance claims within a broker, insurer, MGA, managing agent, TPA, or reinsurer.
• Strong grasp of claims bordereaux, loss reporting, reserves, settlement workflows, and reinsurance contract administration.
• Ability to coordinate various stakeholders and keep intricate matters progressing without sacrificing detail or accountability.
• Exceptional written communication, judgement, organization, and attention to detail.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment where processes are being created and executed simultaneously.
• Preferred experience with Lloyd's and London market claims processes.
• Preferred experience in supporting delegated authority, specialty, or complex reinsurance portfolios.
• Familiarity with broker-management, claims, or accounting systems and data-driven process improvement is preferred.
