Claims Manager – Pet Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Manage pet insurance claims independently from the initial evaluation to the final resolution.

• Examine incoming claim notifications for validity, completeness, and adherence to medical and insurance standards.

• Deliver clear and customer-focused responses to inquiries.

• Interact with veterinary clinics and animal hospitals to clarify any outstanding questions related to treatments and claims.

• Evaluate and thoughtfully resolve claims while considering policy terms and financial implications.

• Facilitate collaboration with service providers to ensure a consistent flow of information.

• Work within communicative, interdisciplinary teams to create joint solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training or a degree in veterinary, commercial, or insurance-related disciplines.

• Examples include training as a Veterinary Medical Assistant / Veterinary Nurse or as an insurance clerk (Insurance and Financial Services); a degree in veterinary medicine (veterinarian).

• Several years of professional experience in a veterinary setting or in managing insurance claims.

• Understanding of veterinary medicine or claims processing.

• Capability to evaluate complex cases in a systematic manner.

• Ability to work independently, in a structured way, and with a sense of responsibility.

• Solution-focused mindset when dealing with intricate claims.

• Strong service orientation and customer focus.

• Clear and effective communication skills with customers, veterinary practices, animal hospitals, and other stakeholders.

• Proficient in German, both spoken and written.
