This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Deliver expert oversight and strategic decision-making on superannuation claims, ensuring equitable, consistent, and compliant outcomes for members while upholding the Trustee's responsibilities.
• Oversee complex and disputed claims, contest insurer and administrator decisions when necessary, and provide recommendations to governance forums.
• Evaluate service provider performance, generate claims reporting and insights, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Offer guidance across the organization on claims-related issues while promoting best-practice claims management and favorable member outcomes.
• Possesses RG146 (or an equivalent) compliance and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in superannuation claims, encompassing both insured and non-insured claims as well as claims disputes (including AFCA).
• Brings extensive knowledge of superannuation law, insurance products, Trustee obligations, and governance frameworks, along with experience in managing complex and disputed claims.
• Shares Future Group’s mission and is passionate about transitioning Australia’s investments from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
• Advocates for leveraging financial power to foster a sustainable and equitable world.
• Additional desirable qualifications (not essential) include experience in a superannuation trustee office, legal or compliance settings, service provider management, regulatory engagement, or familiarity with APRA and ASIC claims-related requirements.
