This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct thorough and timely investigations regarding the coverage, liability, and damages for each claim assigned to you.
• Proactively manage each assigned claim to achieve the most timely and cost-efficient resolution.
• Develop and sustain positive and productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including policyholders, brokers, carrier partners, and Risk Engineers.
• Oversee and guide assignments to experts and external counsel, ensuring these vendors meet or surpass our service expectations.
• Contribute to our data collection initiatives and models by effectively utilizing the Counterpart claim system to accurately record vital details about each claim.
• Recognize and report insights into emerging claims trends across various industries, regions, and key business segments.
• Provide user-level feedback and insights to aid in the ongoing enhancement of our claim handling processes, guidelines, and systems.
• Ensure that every interaction with our insureds and brokers accurately reflects our brand, mission, and vision.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years of litigation or claims management in one or more of the following areas:
• Employment Practices Liability
• Miscellaneous Professional Liability
• Directors and Officers Liability
• Errors and Omissions Liability
• Prior experience with a carrier or broker is advantageous.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a law degree (J.D.) and professional designations (RPLU, AIC, etc.) are highly preferred.
• Must have all required state claim adjuster licenses or be able to acquire them within 90 days of hiring.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex issues as well as collaboratively as a team player to support colleagues when needed.
• High level of personal initiative and leadership capabilities.
• Outstanding time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in operating in a paperless claims environment and using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with the Google Docs Editors suite is a plus.
• Willingness to engage in creative thinking and leverage data-driven insights to navigate obstacles to resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment and travel as required (approximately 10-15%).
