Claims Manager – APD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily claims operations for designated lines of business (e.g., Property, Casualty, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, or Specialty).

• Ensure claims are handled consistently, promptly, and accurately in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements.

• Track claim inventory, cycle times, severity, leakage, and reserve sufficiency; proactively identify trends and performance deficiencies.

• Collaborate with Claims Leadership, Actuarial, Finance, and Legal departments to manage indemnity and expense results.

• Supervise reserving practices and escalation processes for complex, litigated, or high-exposure claims.

• Promote a customer-focused claims experience while balancing business and compliance obligations.

• Evaluate data and reporting to guide decision-making and enhance operational results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 8 years of progressive claims experience in Property and Casualty insurance.

• More than 3 years of experience in people management within a claims setting.

• Proven experience in leading change initiatives or large-scale operational enhancements.

• Strong understanding of Property and Casualty claims handling practices, coverage interpretation, reserving, and litigation management.

• Expertise in claims management systems and performance metrics.

• Proven track record of operating in a regulated environment; experience in a public company is preferred.
