Claims Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage professionally and promptly with clients through email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.

• Adopt a proactive stance centered on claim strategies and resolutions.

• Champion the timely and effective resolution of client claim issues.

• Relay essential claim information to both internal and external clients.

• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external clients.

• Utilize subject matter expertise across various coverage lines.

• Participate in presentations, including new business initiatives, RFPs, claim assessments, and renewals.

• Gain a robust understanding of IMA's computer systems and software.

• Support the Claim Manager in onboarding, training, and developing claim staff.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with carriers, TPAs, legal resources, and consultants.

• Lead and contribute to Claim Projects and undertake additional assigned responsibilities.

• Attend seminars related to insurance and pursue continuing education opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of previous Claims experience is essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience comparable to a college degree.

• Proficiency with systems or a natural aptitude; experience with Applied Epic, Carrier, and TPA platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel, is preferred/required.

• Outstanding technical skills and knowledge related to coverage and claims management.

• Moderate travel is necessary (25–50%).

• Excellent skills in communication and negotiation are required.

• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities are essential.

• Capability to discuss and resolve claim issues with clients and insurance providers.
