Claims Examiner – Liability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess intricate or technically challenging liability claims to ascertain the benefits owed.

• Manage high-stakes claims that involve litigation and rehabilitation processes.

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims aligns with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards.

• Identify opportunities for subrogation and negotiate settlements effectively.

• Analyze and handle claims using action plans to achieve appropriate and timely resolutions.

• Investigate and collect information to evaluate claim exposure accurately.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the specified authority limits.

• Communicate claim activities and processing updates with claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier accordingly.

• Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is advantageous.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Familiarity with Louisiana jurisdiction is essential.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Exceptional judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Proficient keyboarding skills.
