Claims Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluates incoming moderate to complex estimates for residential and commercial properties to ensure accuracy and adherence to carrier-specific guidelines.

• Offers constructive feedback and collaborates with independent adjusters to amend estimates as needed.

• Contributes to the achievement of business objectives, meets performance metrics, and effectively utilizes tools and technology.

• Assists during periods of increased workload and/or catastrophe operations as necessary, including working significant overtime during designated catastrophe events.

• Gathers and implements knowledge of dwelling construction terminology and techniques, estimating best practices, and Xactimate estimates.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• An All Lines Insurance Adjuster's license is necessary.

• Previous experience in reviewing NFIP SFIP Dwelling, General Property, and RCBAP Claims is essential.

• 8+ years of experience in residential or commercial property claims OR 4+ years of flood experience is needed.

• Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and easily adapt to changes in processes and systems for organizational improvement.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing residential estimates to meet carrier-specific standards.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Preferred: NFIP Certification.

• Preferred: College degree.

• Preferred: 2+ years of customer service experience.

• Preferred: Experience with XactAnalysis and Xactimate.

• Preferred: Prior military experience.
