This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +14 more states.
• Perform research, review client documentation, and prepare assessments as instructed regarding theories, strategies, and/or arguments to support the Agency clients’ cases.
• Prepare development, claims, arguments, appeals, and motions related to clients’ cases.
• Prioritize the completion of essential case work and assignments, adhere to internal deadlines established by Senior Claims Advocates, Lead Advocates, and management, and ensure that tasks are finalized in time to meet external deadlines (e.g., VA).
• Conduct interviews and promptly create corresponding declarations with clients and third parties (such as family members, friends, and employers) to support their claims.
• Update CCK’s case management program files with all relevant correspondence and information necessary for reporting.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant case law for incorporation into draft claims, arguments, and appeals.
• Participate in training sessions.
• Collaborate with other Claims Advocates, Client Advocates, Senior Claims Advocates, and Lead Advocates as needed to achieve workload objectives.
• Complete any additional training assigned by your supervisor.
• Support the team in training new Claims Advocates and Client Advocates as required.
• High School diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of work experience or training is preferred.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual ability in Spanish is an advantage.
• Proven leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to communicate responsibly.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient with standard office equipment and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be able to successfully acquire and retain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card and the required VA network access, which involves a government background check.
