Claims Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of new claims

• Investigate claims to identify liable third parties

• Initiate, document, and manage general liability cases from identification to final resolution

• Negotiate and handle claim settlements and denials in accordance with policy

• Determine the financial and legal validity of losses

• Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal partners, and vendors to ascertain coverage and appropriate claim practices

• Review and interpret policy language to ensure compliance with company guidelines and legal standards

• Engage and coordinate with external vendors, specialists, attorneys, and investigators

• Analyze initial loss reports and accurately assess liability

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge of commercial property and liability insurance policies

• Familiarity with relevant state and federal subrogation laws

• Understanding of construction methods is advantageous

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with third-party insurers and legal representatives

• Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to evaluating claims and determining coverage

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred

• A minimum of 3+ years in GL Claims, focusing on commercial property claims handling or commercial general liability evaluation

• Experience in managing commercial claims, property claims, and/or general liability cases

• Must possess, or be able to quickly obtain, all necessary Independent Adjuster License(s)
