Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Engaging directly with insured individuals and conducting follow-ups to execute loss adjustments, pre-acceptance, or quality control inspections aimed at collecting relevant details for the resolution of reported claims or inspections.

• Keeping up to date with procedures in the crop insurance sector concerning the correct adjustment of claims.

• Evaluating and proposing improvements for the company's software products to ensure adherence to both company standards and RMA regulations.

• Conducting audits and assessments of claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in claims adjusting.

• Capability to obtain and/or maintain the necessary adjuster certifications and licenses.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting policy information along with relevant procedures.

• Computer proficiency, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.

• Familiarity with Crop Hail and Multi-Peril Insurance Policies, endorsements, and approved claims adjusting procedures (preferred).

• Experience in crop insurance with a focus on claims (preferred).

• Understanding of farming practices and crops common to the region (preferred).
