Claim Representative III – Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Delivers top-tier technical claim management across the company, encompassing investigation, assessment, and negotiations related to Property, Collapse, Earth Movement, and total loss of buildings.

• Acts as the technical supervisor for the team in the absence of the manager.

• Aids in conducting Regional audits.

• Guides and mentors junior Claim Representatives.

• Executes additional tasks as assigned by the Claim Manager or Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of seven (7) years in claims, with at least three years managing complex claim files.

• Familiarity with current claims legislation, particularly civil and tort law, along with contemporary trends in Property insurance case law and issues.

• Proficient understanding of mathematics and standard accounting practices relevant to gross and net income or living expense calculations.

• Excellent negotiation abilities and the capacity to articulate complex legal concepts and policy contract interpretations both in writing and verbally.

• Capability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks while working under the pressure of tight deadlines.

• Competence in inspecting locations and properties, which may involve accessing roofs, basements, and attics, potentially requiring the use of ladders or stairs, as well as the ability to kneel, crawl, and bend.

• Must possess a valid California Driver's License and be capable of operating a vehicle.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the necessity for current or future visa sponsorship.
