This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute conventional civil design engineering and analysis for projects of low to medium complexity.
• Offer technical direction and develop, validate, and present technical outputs.
• Conduct technical site engineering for substation projects.
• Oversee engineering design elements, including schedules, budgets, quality, coordination, permitting, specifications, procurement, and construction for projects.
• Gather, organize, and manage data necessary for site development engineering tasks.
• Review and integrate client-specific design standards.
• Coordinate the technical components of site development projects and make decisions regarding project engineering execution.
• Design or supervise site grading, pavement, landscaping, and storm, sanitary, and water utilities.
• Design or manage temporary and permanent Best Management Practices (BMPs) for construction and stormwater management.
• Create or oversee drawing packages for geometric layout, grading, drainage, underground utilities, and related details.
• Collaborate on civil site design with designers, engineers, project managers, and partner consultants.
• Attend and lead both internal and external client meetings, conference calls, communications, and site visits.
• Evaluate local zoning ordinances to develop site layouts and adhere to special requirements.
• Assist in acquiring federal, state, county, and local permits.
• Analyze and support CAD efforts with the formatting of topographic survey data.
• Aid in reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs), contractor submittals, and shop drawings.
• Support proposal and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
• Prepare project estimates related to civil site design.
• Assist business development with technical information for sales proposals and relevant activities.
• Ensure adherence to the company quality program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable ABET-accredited degree.
• A Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a civil engineer.
• Experience in civil land development across commercial, industrial, governmental, or aviation sectors.
• Construction experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to function effectively in both team-based and individual settings.
• Willingness to travel to meetings and client sites across the United States.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Expertise in Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
• Occasional flexibility in work hours to accommodate project deadlines.
