This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support the Project Manager with ongoing modifications, challenges, and project requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment on timelines, scope, and project hurdles.
• Work in conjunction with the Project Manager and the Superintendent to uphold the project schedule, including both the overall timeline and the three-week schedule on a weekly basis.
• Facilitate the transition between estimating and construction by validating IFC (Issued for Construction) plans, quantities, and assumptions, which includes processing contract true-ups based on IFC drawings and field conditions.
• Assist with the preparation, tracking, and reconciliation of change orders and contract true-ups throughout the project duration.
• Oversee the Submittal Process – gather, prepare, submit, track, and ensure timely approvals.
• Manage the RFI Process – collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare and submit RFIs, track, and ensure timely closure.
• Aid in material sourcing and procurement in coordination with the Project Manager and Estimator.
• Support One-Call updates and dig permit coordination to ensure safe field operations.
• Manage GPS topographic surveys, including pre-construction, progress, and as-built surveys.
• Compare GPS models (provided vs. actuals) to calculate and verify quantities.
• Compile survey data and convert it into actionable information for project tracking and verification.
• Maintain an FAA Part 107 Drone License and conduct UAV operations as necessary.
• Assist with layout, surveying, and quantity take-offs for materials.
• Keep project logs updated, including Quantity tracker, Submittal logs, RFI logs, etc.
• Support progress meetings by preparing agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-up action items.
• 1–3 years of experience in civil construction (internship experience may be considered).
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and standards.
• Proficiency in Magnet/Topcon Office and construction management software is preferred but not mandatory (Procore, Acumatica, Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft 365, or similar).
• FAA Part 107 Drone License (required or the ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
