Civil Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for civil construction projects

• Conduct takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings

• Analyse risk and opportunity across project bids

• Complete site investigations and pre-tender activities utilizing available online resources

• Engage in tender follow-up and award processes

• Solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers

• Collaborate with subcontractors and assist with their onboarding

• Access and manage documentation through various client subcontractor portals

• Monitor industry trends and perform market and cost benchmarking

• Ensure estimates consider relevant safety and compliance requirements

• Support the preparation of handover documentation for delivery teams

• Opportunity to contribute to the development of an internal AI-powered estimating tool currently in progress

• Assist in building and refining a system capable of interpreting drawings and pricing projects efficiently

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity

• Degree or background in Civil Engineering

• Experience in cost estimating within civil or construction environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings

• High proficiency in Excel, along with a good working knowledge of Word and other standard office applications

• **Preferred/Nice-to-Have:**

• Exposure to Australian or other Western construction standards (specific training can be provided)

• Familiarity with Transport for NSW specifications or similar documentation from road and civil authorities

• Experience with estimating software; familiarity with Quotient is an advantage (training available)

• Experience using Xero for project finance support is desirable

• Interest in AI tools and a willingness to integrate them into daily workflows
