• Take charge of creating conceptual site layouts, grading and drainage strategies, utility routing concepts, and initial civil works packages.
• Collaborate across various teams, including energy strategy, environmental, construction, operations, and project deployment.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary designs for advanced reactor facilities and their supporting infrastructure.
• Design and construct industrial site layouts that incorporate sustainability principles.
• Produce early-stage civil works plans such as grading, drainage, access roads, stormwater systems, and underground utilities.
• Assist with site feasibility studies, constructability assessments, and site selection initiatives.
• Provide estimates related to overburden, spoils generated, and cost projections for civil and site development projects.
• Liaise with environmental, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction teams.
• Aid in permitting and environmental review processes.
• Engage with external engineering firms, EPC partners, surveyors, and geotechnical consultants.
• Create technical specifications, scopes of work, and design criteria for civil engineering tasks.
• Contribute to the development of project schedules and execution strategies for site preparation and construction activities.
• Participate in iterative design reviews and continually adjust site concepts as project needs evolve.
• Produce clear technical documentation, reports, drawings, and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of relevant engineering experience in industrial, energy, infrastructure, environmental, or site development projects.
• Proven experience in developing site layouts, grading plans, utility concepts, and civil design packages.
• Proficient with civil engineering design tools such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS platforms, or similar software.
• Experience in preparing conceptual cost estimates and conducting quantity takeoffs.
• Knowledge of stormwater management, drainage design, and utility coordination.
• Familiar with relevant codes, standards, and permitting procedures.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project and development locations.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) status with an expectation of obtaining PE certification.
