CIO Advisor – Rural Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic advisory services at the CIO level to rural health organizations, government healthcare systems, and safety net providers as projects are secured.

• Assist in the creation and response to RFPs concerning rural health IT transformation, alongside federal and state funding programs, as well as CMS initiatives.

• Provide guidance on healthcare IT strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation for rural hospitals, FQHCs, tribal health organizations, and critical access hospitals.

• Offer consultation on Medicare, Medicaid, and other government payer program requirements related to health IT systems and compliance.

• Work alongside Ellit Groups leadership and practice line teams to develop rural health service offerings and market entry strategies.

• Contribute subject matter expertise to client-facing presentations, proposals, and stakeholder engagements as required.

• Stay available for ad hoc advisory tasks and be ready to mobilize as new rural health opportunities arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a healthcare CIO, CTO, or a similar senior IT executive within a rural health or government-operated healthcare organization (e.g., county or state health system, tribal health organization, FQHC, safety net hospital/clinic, or critical access hospital).

• Hands-on experience with government payer programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursement and regulatory frameworks specific to rural health.

• Direct participation in Federal and/or State funding programs, encompassing grant writing, program administration, or compliance oversight.
