This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee the design, engineering, and execution of intricate CICS infrastructure solutions that align with enterprise business goals.
• Offer technical leadership for significant mainframe projects from the strategy phase through to execution.
• Develop, maintain, and consistently enhance highly available CICS environments throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with application development teams and infrastructure stakeholders to provide scalable, secure, and dependable solutions.
• Assess emerging technologies and suggest strategies that enhance performance, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize CICS and related system software products.
• Offer guidance and consultation to a large and diverse application development team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for high-priority production incidents as necessary.
• Over 10 years of CICS Systems Programming experience in enterprise mainframe settings.
• In-depth understanding of CICS architecture, internals, administration, and performance optimization.
• Significant experience in supporting and managing CICSPlex environments.
• Practical experience with z/OS, DB2 Data Sharing, MQ Shared Queue Managers, and REXX.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system and application problems and implement effective solutions.
• Experience in leading technical projects and coordinating efforts across multiple teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively contributing to large, cross-functional teams.
• Capacity to support a 24x7 production environment, including scheduled on-call duties.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
