This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Gather, assess, and integrate data from surveys, interviews, focus groups, administrative records, observations, and site visits.
• Work closely with project teams, assist in client communications, and aid in the development of proposals.
• Facilitate focus groups, including recruiting participants, managing logistics, taking notes, and preparing summary reports.
• Design, implement, and oversee surveys (both online and paper), ensuring instrument testing and quality assurance.
• Analyze quantitative data utilizing statistical software (such as R, Stata, SAS, SPSS), including data cleaning, merging, validation, and documentation.
• Conduct and support interviews and focus groups; analyze and synthesize qualitative data using coding software (e.g., Dedoose, NVivo, Atlas.ti).
• Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences; incorporate feedback and maintain editorial quality.
• Produce clear and accurate data visualizations and assist project teams in leveraging data for informed decision-making.
• Carry out observations and participate in occasional site visits across various locations nationwide.
• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to research briefs, memos, and other written materials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Policy, Social Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in qualitative and/or quantitative data collection, research analysis, or evaluation.
• Proven ability to generate clear, professional, and high-quality written deliverables.
• Capability to manage work products autonomously and complete tasks punctually.
• Experience in developing online surveys and utilizing platforms such as Qualtrics.
• Experience in conducting qualitative analysis with software like Dedoose, NVivo, or Atlas.ti.
• Experience in cleaning, merging, and manipulating datasets in a professional context.
• Familiarity with creating data visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Previous experience in a consulting setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presenting to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative and proactive work style; effective both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in K–12, postsecondary, and child welfare systems, with a focus on enhancing outcomes for children and families.
