Child Psychologist – NY License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct psychosocial evaluations that adhere to evidence-based practices.

• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy to patients utilizing evidence-based treatment methods.

• Engage in collaborative care team meetings.

• Build cooperative relationships and referral agreements with community mental health providers.

• Assess the quality of patient services and monitor progress for patients referred to services.

• Complete necessary documentation, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning, in a timely manner.

• Collaborate closely with patients, families, and the care team to address treatment hurdles.

• Maintain licensure and pursue professional development as mandated by the licensing board.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from a program accredited by the American/Canadian Psychological Association (APA).

• A valid psychologist license in the states of practice (NY license required).

• NY Medicaid Provider Number.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience post-licensure.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

• Capability to effectively engage, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Proven understanding of trauma-informed care principles.

• Prior experience in providing teletherapy to children and adolescents.

• Previous experience in crisis intervention.
